The Pattern Women Don’t Notice Until They See It
Something interesting has been happening in one of the groups I’m facilitating at the moment.
Over the past few weeks the women have begun noticing something they had never really seen before.
Not a big dramatic realisation.
Small moments.
One woman noticed she was about to apologise in a group message simply for taking up space in the conversation. She caught herself before pressing send.
Another woman realised she automatically moved out of the way when men were walking towards her on a path.
Small things. Subtle things.
But when you start to see these moments, a much bigger pattern reveals itself.
Many capable, successful women have spent years editing themselves without even realising it.
Softening opinions.
Holding back in rooms.
Making themselves smaller so other people remain comfortable.
It becomes so normal that it’s almost invisible.
Until the moment you finally see it.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
That’s where the real work begins.
Because awareness creates choice.
And choice is where power returns.
